About us

Since 1986, the Tschorn GmbH in Urbach is specialised on manufacturing of high-class measuring and clamping equipment for the cutting industry. We manufacture products for zero point determination, workpiece clamping, tool clamping and for tool measuring.

Innovations and product optimisations originate in our company. As an efficient family business with 17 employees, we orientate us concentratedly and flexibly at the current requirements of our customers who work e.g. in the machining industry, automobile industry or medical industry.

Modern metal-cutting machines and accurate quality assurance on 3D-measuring machines in an air-conditioned test laboratory lead to high-class products „Made in Germany“, more explicitly to products made in Baden-Wuerttemberg.

No matter if Japan, USA, Europe or Germany, we sell our products meanwhile to more than 40 countries worldwide, always following the principle: precise. pioneering. worldwide.

Robust & antimagnetic probe tips: Our probe tips are made out of stainless steel with a carbide ball - they only break when it matters! This is why you only need about 2 probe tips per year. (conventional 3D Testers: up to 10 pc) per year.

3D-Tester SLIMplus V2 BLACK

Unique and BLACK is the new 3D Tester with black scale.
Technically, the 3D-Tester is like our well-known SLIMplus V2: stable and slim. New is the black scale. The clock is easier to read thanks to the dark dial face and the orange indicators. In addition, white graduations are added to the scale, which is no longer the case on the white dial face. Thus you can choose between the SLIMplus V2 with reduced clear white dial face and the SLIMplus Black with black dial face including graduation

Automatic probing system TSCHORN 4.0

The new TSCHORN 4.0 system automatically finds the zero point of your workpiece and determines tool lengths. A sending module has been integrated into the tester which communicates with a receiver. You can place this receiver module e.g. directly at the machine console. Now you can see the built-in control lamps throughout the whole probing process. The control lamps inform about the status of the device, the radio control signal as well as the probing process.

The tester enables the machine to process the incoming probing signals directly in the machine control. This function is independent from the machine control manufacturer. This is why you can easily use it on diverse milling machines and machining centres.

The complete system contains:

  • 1 edge finder 3D - determination of the zero point of the workpiece

  • 1 zero setter - determination of tool lengths

  • 1 receiver - connected to both devices but can only be used for one device at a time

  • Probing accuracy: +/- 0,003 mm
