About us

Since 1888, Wagner has specialized in precision tools for the efficient production of external threads and special production techniques such as beading, knurling, flanging or rolling in. The proven thread cutting systems, whose tradition goes back to the era of Gustav-Wagner-Maschinenfabrik, have been manufactured in Pliezhausen, Germany with exacting quality standards since 1994.

We are transporting the tradition of the Gustav-Wagner-Maschinenfabrik with innovative technology into the future through the further development of rolling systems, multi-cutter turning systems and tangential tools. The modular system developed by WAGNER for axial rolling systems with exchangeable roll holders covers the entire operating range of a tool. Changing the rollers for all common threads is both quick and uncomplicated.

Our product range:
• Tangential thread rolling systems
• Axial thread rolling systems
• Thread cutting systemss
• Multi-cutter turning systems

For threads with a very short run-out, close to a collar, very short threads or threads behind a collar
Threads: Ø 1.6 - 68 mm
Types of threads: for all types of threads.
Application areas: for serial parts and large batches

Axial rolling systems:
For chip-free production of threads paired with rapidity and economical pricing
Threads: Ø 3 - 70 mm
Types of threads: for all types of threads
Application areas: for serial parts and large batches
Models: Stationary and rotating

Thread cutting systems:
For fast and extremely precise production of threads of different shapes, angle, diameters and lengths on numerous materials.
Threads: Ø 1.6 - 120 mm or Ø 9 - 175 mm
Types of thread: for all types of threads
Models: Stationary and rotating

Multi-cutter turning systems:
For the fast reduction of external diameters. Its 3 or 4 carbide cutters achieve a 3 to 6 times higher feed rate than conventional tools.
Turning range: Ø 2 - 30 mm
Models: Stationary and rotating

HELIX: The experts for axial thread rolling

The HELIX axial thread rolling systems are available in 3 different sizes and different designs and can be used to produce threads from M6 – M22 bzw. 1/4“ – 7/8“. With the HELIX systems you have a clear advantage thanks to the easy handling of the flange-shaft interface and the simple and cost-effective replacement of wear parts. The additional locking device available for all stationary HELIX systems saves time. This is easy to install and shifts the closing time from the process time to the non-productive time.

Tangential Rolling Systems

Threads of the highest surface quality can be produced with minimum machining times using the WAGNER tangential rolling systems. Optimum productivity is achieved using precise thread rolls. The diameter, pitch and shape of these rolls are adapted to the thread to be rolled. WAGNER tangential rolling systems are available in various sizes and are suitable for machining workpieces from Ø 2 - 72 mm.

TSW – The Knurling Professional

The TSW tangential tool is the „knurling professional“ among the Wagner tools and is characterized by excellent cost-efficiency. The TSW knurling tool can be used to roll profiles, parallel grooves, knurls and beads in a time-saving manner. During machining − preferably on single and multispindle lathes − the workpiece must rotate; the tool itself is stationary.
