OTT-JAKOB Spanntechnik GmbH specialises in the manufacture of complete tool clamping systems for machine tools. Thanks to the extensive knowledge of our employees, we can ensure the development of efficient products which always meet our customers specific requirements.
The groundbreaking developments made in recent decades enables us to offer a complete modular range with which several thousand tool clamping systems have been produced for HSK and steep tapers. Every day we develop new clamping systems and prepare them for mass production in our well-equipped testing area.
In doing so, we set global standards for complete automatic tool clamping systems. Because of its extensive expertise, OTT-JAKOB is one of the leading clamping technology producers in the world.
Additionally we are actively working to develop and integrate intelligent monitoring systems. In doing so, we will fundamentally shape the next generation of automatic tool clamping systems.

OTT-JAKOB is the only manufacturer that offers complete clamping systems for automatic tool clamping. We offer diferent kinds of clamping units like the hollow-shaft taper (HSK). It has a shorter, lighter structure than the steep taper (SK), which allows tools to be changed more quickly and higher speeds to be reached.The steep taper is the original tool interface. Steep taper technology has proven itself for decades and, in spite of the increasingly widespread use of HSK interfaces, remains a practical solution for standard machine tools.
At CIMT we also present the Power-Check 2. It’s a testing device which measures the pull force of clamping systems. Four basic versions are available, ensuring optimal measurement precision for every tool interface. The measuring range of the four basic versions is up to 5, 20, 75 and 200 kN. in addition, the device is IP67 certified, which guarantees excellent protection against dust and water.
