There are many possibilities to improve the quality of your products. Baublies roller burnishing technology is one of the most economical ones. Roller burnishing is the economical, easy- to- use and reliable creation of maximum surface quality. During this process the fatigue strength and the hardness of the workpiece is increased. During this non cutting process metal workpieces are smoothened and strain-hardened by rolling elements.

Small, fine and in excellent Baublies quality: these are the burnishing tools which we have developed for filigree applications. We have optimized our many years of know-how in diamond burnishing for the machining of small precision parts and thin-walled workpieces in a compact form. Diamond burnishing tools from the COLIBRI series are always optimally suitable when the peak-to-valley height of filigree workpieces is to be minimized and at the same time the strength is to be increased.

Extremely smooth surfaces in just seconds. Surface roughness of under Rz 1µm, short cycle times and low investments with fast amortization make chipless roller burnishing a high-quality, cost effective alternative to any cutting process. Variable single-roller burnishing tools are flexibly adjustable for various contours and can be used in hard-to-reach places. The rolling unit can be swiveled by 180°.

Multi-roller burnishing tools
Multi-roller tools are offered in a broad range of standard and special designs. They are used to work cylindrical holes, shafts, tapers and plane surfaces. The advantages of multiple rollers working simultaneously is a fast and economical machining without cross force to the rotation axis. These type of tools are used on all established types of machines.
Depending on the roller burnishing task, several hardened rollers are arranged in the cage. A taper supports the rollers and provides the contact force for forming the material. The rolling diameter is adjusted by axial shifting of the taper relative to the roller. The simultaneous engagement of several rollers results in a short processing time.
